MISSION

Gems From Joy ministries is a Christian based organization committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our purpose is governed by the Bible which we hold as the unadulterated word of God, our standard is the life and character of Jesus Christ who we hold as the only begotten Son of God, and we are guided by the divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The primary way in which we accomplish our purpose is through the power of prayer and inspirational books.

ABOUT GEMS FROM JOY MINISTRIES

Gems From Joy Ministries is a Bible based ministry and we are uncompromising in our faith and belief that the Bible is man’s blueprint for life. We believe that we are all born into this world in need of a Savior. We believe Jesus Christ is that Saviour, and the One and Only Begotten Son of God who died for our sins and rose from the grave. We believe our hope and salvation is in Him. We believe in the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the working of signs and wonders. We believe the Word of God requires all men to change and surrender their lives to Him. We believe in walking in love towards all men by demonstrating the love and compassion of Christ. We do not believe that love requires us to agree with all things, accept all things, or the need to be politically correct. We are a Christian ministry, not in word only, but in the absolute commitment to be followers of Christ and live by His instructions. We understand that not everyone believes the way we do and our purpose is to simply extend to the world the invitation to discover the goodness of Jesus Christ. All are welcome here, regardless of your beliefs. Our hope is that you will experience Him for yourself and make a quality decision to accept Him in your life. ABOUT THE BATTLE READY PRAYER

The Battle Ready Prayer is the culmination of several years of developing an intimate relationship with God. I became very fond of my prayer closet in which I surrendered my life to the Lord. I discovered so much in that closet, most importantly that the Lord is not a million miles away. I came to know Him on a personal level by simply communicating with Him and enjoying His presence. The first prayer He inspired me to do was for my new born son. My wife and I began praying for him when he was in her womb. The Lord told me the word had a life His own and to play the cd for him each night as he went to sleep. I began to shape his destiny by confessing the Word of God over his life. I did the same for my daughter and both children have an incredible love for God. Prayer helped me to understand God’s faithfulness, His desire to have intimate fellowship with us, and the unquestionable power of His word.

Years later, He told me to saturate the world with prayer. As I sat down to compose a prayer, He gave me the exact words to say. It became The Battle Ready Prayer. He also impressed upon me that the cd was to be absolutely free. There were to be no barriers that would prevent people from experiencing His love. I had no idea how I was supposed to reach the world so I simply began giving the cd away. At times, when my faith was weak, He used my family to remind me again and again that ” God is able to do all things”. God was faithful and sent people who shared the same passion and were willing to share the cd with others. Many more faithfully sowed into the ministry. Simply trusting God, and through people wanting to share the cd with friends and loved ones we have given out over a million cd’s and reached people around the world. The ministry continues to grow stronger each year as more people are blessed by the cd’s and the Lord sends new sowers and laborers to get the job done.

The music for many of the prayers is provided by my dear friend Joel McNair “Jhosta” who has been an invaluable part of the prayer ministry. Special thanks to Eric and Tieja Lampkin who the Lord used in a powerful way to help with distribution of the prayer.
